Bra cure for cleavage wrinkles.

Dutch woman Rachel de Boer has designed an anti wrinkle bra called 'La Decollette'. She had slept with stuffed socks sewn between the cups of her bra for years to smooth out her neckline and prevent wrinkles.

A few years later and her design had been professionally designed and manufactured to be sold in over 150 lingerie shops across the Netherlands and Belgium and also gaining interest from retailers in Austri, Britain, France, Spain and Portugal.

The bra has a padded peice of rectangular material between the collar bone and the strenum, sits between the breasts to prevent wrinkles appearing at night and costs 50 euros.

 

David Beckham launches new underwear range with H&M.

H&M  have teamed up with David Beckham to launch a new range of underwear in time for valentines day Feburary 2012. The range will also stock a range of bodywear peices which will change seasonally. David Beckham will  be launching it with his long term friend Simon Fuller, creator of American Idol. The contract is supposed to last 2 years.

Bra chain world record.

A group of women organised to beat the world record of the longest chain of bras in support of Breakthrough Breast Cancer, the current record of 166,000 bras hooked together is held in Australia. The women aimed to hook together 200,000 bras, the equivalent of over 100 miles of bras!... but unfortunately the event was called off as they couldn't unknot the chain of bra's.! They plan to attempt it again at a later date.

Baci Lingerie signs new partner.

The affordable luxury lingerie brand, Baci Lingerie has signed a partnership agreement with Love Stores S.A de C.V to open 'mono brand stores' to see Baci Lingerie sold throughout Mexico. It promises to open 50 Baci Lingerie stores with the first one opening in the next two months.

Rigby and Peller New bra size 48N!

Rigby and Peller, offical lingerie suppliers to the queen, introduced a new sized bra last September, the huge 48N. It had gone unnoticed as the media had said Bravissimo's L cup was the largest cup size to hit high street retailers. Rigby and Peller also offer a made to measure bespoke service for their customers, so if the 48N isn't big enough and all else fails you can have one specially made for you!

Cake Lingerie introduces seamless maternity bra.

M&S celebrates five years of post surgery lingerie.

This summer Marks & Spencer celebrated five years since it became the first high street retailer to launch its own collection of pretty and attractive post-surgery lingerie.

To celebrate the anniversary of the launch in 2006 Marks and Spencer's published a guide to Post-Surgery Bras,which was in conjunction with Breakthrough Breast Cancer.

La Senza New In Autumn/ Winter 2011/12

These are La Senza's new  bra's for Autumn/Winter and prices vary from £16 to £30. The top set of photos show a pastel palette of colours with beautiful fabrics such as silk and lace with simple detailing of piping and bows with ivory lace trims... very vintage inspired.

 The second selection of photo's show beautiful lace bras in creams, chocolates, nudes and ivories with black piping and detailing, simplistic but beautiful.

 Both sets of bra's fit in with the vintage inspired, simplistic colour palette, flower girl image, that has been seen in magazines and on the catwalks in collections by Sarah Burton for Alexander Mcqueen, Collette Dinnigan and Valentino .

New inventions, discoveries,technologies, products and generally whats new in the world of lingerie! Starting with Marks and Spencer's.

Marks and Spencer's Nearly Naked Lingerie Range

The Nearly Naked Lingerie Range, is a range of bra's and knickers that is designed to make the wearer feel like their almost naked.

The bra is priced at £18 and the knicker at £8.

The bra is made using 'super soft fabric' and uses a new flocking techique to help keep the bra in place rather than using the normal lingerie elastics. The flocking is made of tiny fibres which means the bra sits closely to the skin creating a flattering silhouette.

The cups are made from M&S special lightweight foam and the underwire is encased in extra soft padding. The knickers are also made of the same 'super soft fabric' and technology to stop the knickers moving. Due to the soft and seamless finish to the garments, they are almost invisible under clothing.

The lingerie comes in four differnt skin tones which have been specially chosen by the M&S Technology Team, the colours are Apricot, Natural, Mocha and Coco.

Commissions.

At the craft fair I was asked to make two bespoke bikinis for a client, based on a previous bikini style. I had to modify it slightly as I dont have access to all the components that were on the previous bikini. Here is what I made......
